School Year Blends Hope, Change, Sorrow Mr. C. W. Jones — principal of Bexley High School and interim su- perintendent of the Bexlev School System. Change! Tragedy! Hope! These three words constitute the predominant spirits which rose and fell within the course of the 1966-67 school year. This year has provided both bright and optimistic experiences as well as tragically sorrowful ones. Early in the fall, the Bexley School System lost its super- intendent, Dr. E. D. Jarvis. In this respect, the 1966-67 school year has been marred by bewilderment and grief. However, this school year has also been host to remarkable improvements. When entering the building this fall, the students became aware of the added equipment around the building. There were not only new overhead projector screens, but there were also closed circuit television outlets in each room. In this respect, Bexley has been the field lor progress. Hope! Yes, the 1966-67 school year hints at the hope for a new and even better year to come. Bexley plans to join the Mid-Eight Conference, now being developed, by September of 1968. The conference will include Grove- port, Grove City, London, Marysville, Hilliard, Grand- view, Mifflin, and Bexley. In addition, Bexley plans to abandon the I.B.M. system of scheduling.
