BAC opens way for sports Operating under a new constitution this year, the Boys’ Athletic Club reached new heights. The new constitution changed the club’s name to Boys’ Athletic Club and also added an improved system of awarding. During the year, BAC maintained its chief function of providing all boys with an intra- mural program. During the year, BAC experienced fierce compe- tition in their numerous activities. Participation was spirited between basketball quintets as well as between the touch football teams. Volleyball games were again held in conjunction with GAC. BAC stimulated great interest in the bowling com- petition with boys from other schools this year. The club sustained its treasury through the sale of concessions at football and basketball games and through the collection of dues. Camp Muskingum was the sight of a week-end leadership camp in October. Carolyn Schneider, Carol Godofsky, and Mrs. Rogers were the Bexley representatives among 200 Ohio students and teachers. The camp’s purpose is to instill in the students a feeling of responsibility and to teach them new ideas for intramural and interscholastic programing. During football season GAC sponsored a dance with a “Battle of the Bands” as the main attrac- tion. In November GAC had a mother-daughter style show sponsored by the University Shop. Other planned activities for the year included a bake sale and a rummage sale. As a special inter- est project GAC made up Christmas packages for soldiers in Viet Nam.
