BAC opens way for sports Operating under a new constitution this year, the Boys’ Athletic Club reached new heights. The new constitution changed the club’s name to Boys’ Athletic Club and also added an improved system of awarding. During the year, BAC maintained its chief function of providing all boys with an intra- mural program. During the year, BAC experienced fierce compe- tition in their numerous activities. Participation was spirited between basketball quintets as well as between the touch football teams. Volleyball games were again held in conjunction with GAC. The club sustained its treasury through the sale of concessions at football and basketball games and through the collection of dues. During football season GAC sponsored a dance with a “Battle of the Bands” as the main attrac- tion. In November GAC had a mother-daughter style show sponsored by the University Shop. Other planned activities for the year included a bake sale and a rummage sale. As a special inter- est project GAC made up Christmas packages for soldiers in Viet Nam.
