Class of '85 captures second Lenny You are now entering the Highlight Zone, stated author and star Michael DeWitt of the winning Helio Day perfor- mance by the junior class. For two Hello Days in a row, the class of '85 has danced and sang its way to the top, set- ting a new trend at Beverly where non- seniors win the Lenny. Also starring Kristin Jaeger and Damon Raskin, the winning script was a parody on the ever- famous Twilight Zone dealing with the trials and traumas of being a high school freshman. The sophomore skit was called the 'Freshman Connection. it fo- cused on the main points of school life. The questionable senior presentation, Trading Classes, was a raunchy satire of the Beverly social scene. Thejudging became controversial because many felt that the subject matter was undesirable for a high school skit. Llnappealing to the judges were the inappropriate remarks 20 0 Hello Day f' v 1 53, wtf, 's 4' , M Juniors Stuart Rogers, Adam Gifford, and Tina Wood look bored in class in one of the scenes of their presentation fabovej. Second year winning Hello Day author Michael DeWitt welcomes the audience to the Highlight Zone frightj. made in reference to Principal Sol Levine and a sensuous strip-tease. Judge John Rosemond required that the stars of the senior performance apol- ogize personally to Levine. ln contrast to the seniors, the performance of the ju- niors was not degrading and yet it managed to be humorous as well as to be very entertaining. DeWitt summed it all up by saying, Watch out next year, we will beat them all again.
