ReTlecTing back on This semesTer, l am proud of how much we accom- plished as a sTudenT body. OT course This semesTer has been guided by The desire To bring advenTure and rewards To all of you. The record of spring acTiviTies demonsTraTes The TulTillmenT of The rich poTenTial oT sTudenT governmenT: Club Week, The ouTsTanding and varied assemblies, our nighT Time TeaTure enTer- TainmenT, The exciTing use of publiciTy and bulleTin boards, The greaTly expanded opporTuniTies under The Commissioner of CulTure, our parTicipaTion in The Scholar- ship FoundaTion for Beverly's Summer session abroad, and our parT in The war on AB. 46, The school disTricT consolidaTion bill. l have found my enThusiasms and saTisTacTions in These accomplishmenTs. My appreciaTion exTends To many -Helene and Gary upon whom so much so successfully depended, a very able cabineT, and The AdminisTraTion for Their consTanT supporT. boys league President, Tony Drewry Top row Randy Sterling Jim Frank Jon Teicher Larry Ach, Mark Senn, Larry Wohl, Leland Faust. First row: Dave Schumann, Secretary Tom Morton, President Tony Drewry Vice President Gordon Evans, Commissioner of Athletics Mike Withey. Under the outstanding leadership of President Tony Drewry and sponsor, Mr. David Fish, the fall Boys' League Cabinet planned and executed many out- standing events. They began the semester with an Orientation Day. An Armed Service panel was held in order to acquaint Beverly boys more thoroughly in this field. The league also sponsored a drive to collect magazines for Juvenile Hall. ln the sports field, the league sponsored a bowling tournament, as well as show- ing World Series films during boys' physical education classes. When Christ- mas time came, the league successfully sponsored its annual Book Drive. Since this year is the fiftieth anniversary of Beverly Hills, the Bays' League did some- thing a little different from the usual. Along with this semester's Norman News- reel, they presented a newsreel made by Normans in 1940. The fall semester certainly proved to be an exciting and fun-filled one for all. 29

Your re- sponsive attitude toward school elections has made possible a successful term of office. It is with sincere appreciation that I thank you for giving me this chance to serve you. Your cooperation and enthusiastic support, the understanding atti- tude ot the administration and faculty, and the oportunity to work with fine leaders such as Dan and Gary, have highlighted this last semester tor me.
