With Terri Kaplan as President, the fall Girls' League started the year off with many exciting and fun-filled events. The first event of the year was Orienta- tion Day. Little sisters met their big sisters and then proceeded to the Student Activity Center, where a beautiful fashion show was presented. Instead of cele- brating Hello Day in the traditional manner, a new name as well as a new twist was added. Mum Day gave every boy in the school the opportunity to be the biggest flirt and to get ra trophy for his efforts. At the after-school dance the traditional class songs were sung, and the friendliest couples were announced. Halloween, a holiday usually ushered in by ghosts and goblins, gained its yearly entry by way of the Witches' Weenie Bake. Christmas would not be so merry without the dolls and other gifts from the Girls' League sponsored Albion Street Drive. Another Christmas activity was a breakfast for the Non-Certificate Help. Besides publishing the Beverly Belle, a Girl of the Month Contest was spon- sored, with the honor going to one girl from each class per month. The Girls' League, which had an eventful and successful semester, can certainly be proud of its accomplishments. 28 girls' league
