MARGARET FALLAR, The school nurse, supervises The healTh of Beverly's sevenTeen hundred Normans. ln order To help mainTain and improve The healTh of The sTudenTs, she counsels individual sTudenTs wiTh healTh problems, screens Their vision and hearing, arranges for cerTain sTudenTs To re- ceive a physical from The school physician, and advises par- enTs of needs for medical care. MISS MADELEINE SEVENANS- undersTanding, paTienT, pleas- anT, and warm. These all describe The speech TherapisT aT Beverly. Mrs. Sevenans helps sTudenTs from all Beverly Hills schools To overcome, embarrassing speech impedimenTs Through conscienTous exercise and paTienT work. Her pleasanT naTure and easy going personaliTy make Mrs. Sevenans a well-loved individual on The Beverly campus. MR. J. E. SPARKS, Beverly's reading and sTudy skills counselor, has The opporTuniTy To work wiTh sTudenTs of all ages. AT Beverly he supervises The reading and sTudy skills classes which are Taughf by Miss JaneT PaTey and Mrs. STelle Feuers. During firsT period Mr. Sparks discusses The classics wiTh nineTy sTudenTs from grades nine To Twelve. These discussions are held aT The Board of EducaTion conference room. AT The presenT Mr. Sparks is STaTe Chairman of The InTernaTional Reading AssociaTion. During The summer he Teaches speed reading aT his own privaTe school, Morgan Harris. MRS. ANN MITCHELL, Home CoordinaTor, has a very complex and comprehensive job. She is parTicularly inTeresTed in sTu- denTs who have difficulTies academically and socially.
