Dr. Willard F. Robinson nd welcomes a new friend . . . . In one short year Dr. Willard Robinson has won the respect and warm friendship of the Student Body and Faculty. Coming to Beverly as Principal from the Los Angeles City School Sys- tem, Dr. Robinson quickly established himself as a true Norman. Interested in Beverly and its activities, Dr. Robinson could be seen rooting at all games and attending the social affairs, and his silent presence could often be felt in Student Court and Stu- dent Council sessions. A man of varied interests, he was a Navy pilot in World War II, he has dug for archeological specimens in the Inca ruins of Peru, and he has set his mark as a hunter, having bagged the first deer of the season last fall. Willey, Assistant Superintendent BOARD OF EDUCATION The Beverly Hills Board of Educa- tion recognizes the paramount im- portance of health, citizenship, and character development. The Board desires that the program of educa- tion be such that it will challenge the best students as well as others to achieve the maximum of their individual capacity. It believes that all school activities should be evalu- ated in terms of their contribution to the individual. The Board also believes that the public school funds be administered wisely. The Board of Education wants the best school system that can be built- a system of education that is sec- ond best to no other in the coun- try. THE SCIENCE BUILDING takes form. DEAN OF BOYS lvfr. Steve T. Miletich works conscientiously every day as Dean of Boys. He assists and ad- vises Beverly's boys not only as an official but also as a friend. Mr. Miletich is in charge of school attendance and keeps track of all stu- dent records. He also sponsors Boys' League Activities, Student Council, and the Student Court. Mr. Miletich deserves recognition by all Normans. DEAN OF GIRLS Mrs. Romaine Pauley, Beverly's Dean of Girls, is continuously giving of her time and energy to uphold the high standards for which Bev- erly is noted. In addition to her full schedule of advising and counseling the girls, Mrs. Pauley finds time to sponsor the Girls' League, Club Relations Board, and Student Council. Her services are a great! asset to the high school program. X ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT Mr. H. john Marrow has well earned the title of Administrative Assistant. In this capacity he supervises the high school, student body, and athletic budgets. He acts as Director of Civil Defense and is in charge of the Student Store. Mr. Marrow also advises the Student Council and all phases of transportation in which he executed a terrific plan for the park- ing problem last year.
