GIRLS' COURT The Girls' Courf is composed of fhe Commissioner of Girls' Welfare, who is fhe Chief Jusfice of fhe Courf, and six associafe iudges elecfed by fhe Girls' League. lfs faculfy sponsor is Mrs. Grace Rafhwell. The Courf's purpose is fo judge all cases of discipline which are referred fo if by fhe Girls' Adviser, Mrs. Blanche E. Davis. The of- fenders are punished by being given cifafions. The number of cifafions given depends on fhe seriousness of fhe offense and fhe number of fimes fhe girl has appeared before fhe Courf. If a girl receives many cifafions, fhis seriously affecfs her graduafion. A new plan was sfarfed during fhe firsf semesfer. Under fhis, all girls wifh a number of fardinesses are broughf before fhe Courf, and chronic offenders 'are given cifafions. The new sysfem was found fo have greaf effecf. The purpose of fhis body is fo iudge all cases of discipline which happen oufside of fhe classroom, such as going off bounds, difching classes, and smoking af school.
