IQINCIIDFIL This year in Beverly Barracks has proven To be a mosT unusual one. In TacT, many have claimed iT To be one oT The happiesT we have ever known. CerTainly The lasT Tew monThs have proven ThaT Tangible, physical Things are noT The all imporTanT ones, Tor The real Beverly has improved despiTe The TransTer To TenTs and bungalows. IT would have been easy To grumble aT The air-condiTioned bungalows, and iT would have been naTural To complain biTTerIy during zero weaTher when heads were hoT and TeeT were cold. I-Iowever, boTh sTudenTs and TaculTy Taced The unusual siTuaTion and in a spiriT oT Triendship and cooperaTion learned To overcome The diTTiculTies, To undersTand and sympaThize wiTh each oTher's problems, To be uncomplaining and unselTish, and To make The mosT oT Trying condiTions. The experiences oT The year have demonsTraTed ThaT The real Beverly is an indeTin- able someThing ThaT pervades The whole school. IT mighT be spiriT. IT mighT be sporTsman- ship. IT mighT be Triendliness combined wiTh a Teeling oT muTual respecT. IT mighT be all oT These Things, buT whaTever iT is, The year in The TenTs has helped To develop iT To a greaTer exTenT Than ever beTore. During The same Time The buildings have been sTrengThened, The real Beverly has also been sTrengThened, a Beverly so good ThaT we musT hold sTeadTasTly To iT. O.
