Those which are deemed feasible by the council, its advisors, and the administration are in- corporated into school life. This year's council was composed of the representa- tives who are pictured above. Honor Students The honor students of Beverly High School are recognized twice yearly at High Honor Convocations held in the full and winter. This yearis senior class had sev- eral superior students. History Department and Library Many students found a great deal of use for the library this year. but the library's offerings were particularly im- portant to history students. The well-lit, spacious room and quiet surroundings provided a comfortable atmosphere for exam preparationg meanwhile. the librarians quickly responded to any questions referred to them by the stu- dents. The students constantly used the card catalogue, Readeris Guide, and encyclopedias. R. Waldman and D. Danda busily used these references to complete their re- search papers. The History department. headed by Mr. John Page, also sponsored such activities as the Youth Leadership Contest, the Voice of Democracy Contest, and the Memorial Day Assembly. The students of Beverly High School utilized the library's resources to gain knowledge in history and all other subjects. il I 'I W-.
