I2 ,I ,, 'NJ p.- .:,, f YWO INQPIPJNG LEADERS The major responsibilities of the Princi- pal of Beverly High School were in the areas of organization, administration, and super- vision. As Beverly High School had been organized for many years, a new Principal needed to learn the established procedures of the school and the past policies of administra- tion. Of equal importance was for him to be- come familiar with the traditions of the school and the values of the community. Within the framework, he worked with the staff and students to keep everything going smoothly, to make whatever adjustments in the program were desirable, to co-ordinate the efforts of all personnel, and to super- vise the over-all educational enterprise. Help- ing Dr. Fisher, Mr. Paul Crosby, head of the Guidance Department, co-ordinated the guidance counselors, and handled vocational and educational matters. With these two in- spiring leaders, students and faculty were proud of B.H.S.

Their daily routine consisted of answering all calls and routing them to the proper recipient, greet- ing visitors, handling the PA system, sort- ing mail, keeping reports for Dr. Fisher, is- suing bus tickets, and publishing the menu. Some of their more exacting work was hand- ling the details of the graduation exercises and processing all transcripts leaving the school.
