Morrison, P. Femino, J. Whigham. OFFICE STAFF AND OFFICE AIDES With over T500 pupils and. approximately seventy faculty members at Beverly High during the i964- 65 school year, the office staff and our principal, Mr. William Foley, had many busy days! Unexpected problems such as conducting fire drills and dismissing ill pupils arose daily. Mrs. Louise Dube controlled the attendance and the registers. Miss Nancy Cyr and Miss Susan Allison not only checked the programs and records of students, but also sold bus tickets, wrote letters, filed information, read mail, and took telephone calls. The yearbook staff and the members of the guidance department depended on the office workers for references. At graduation time the staff aided the senior class advisor, collected the final class dues, prepared the diploma list, organized the exercises for the services, and arranged service en- listment. The office aides, who volunteered their time during study periods, included seniors and iuniors with good academic standing. Besides run- ning errands, the students collected attendance, did routine filing, and took telephone messages. Plans for the new high school consisted of a divi- sion of the students into three houses each with a headmaster's and a secretary's office. Mr. Foley and his secretary made plans for the main office from which they would govern the entire school. The administration also anticipated the valuable assistance of the office aides in the new school. I2 1 . iv' ED f N 'VJ C? QS? 'I ,lv Nancy Cyr, Susan Allison, Louise Dube, Secretaries
