L As Mr. Foley looks toward the future and a new high school, the daily activities at Beverly High School flow on with the enthusi- astic response of the student body. Life at B.H.S. is not merely a day-in-day-out routine, instead, the beginning of each day brings varied experiences. Each morning, the office accommodates students requesting absence passes, while on the second floor, a flux of seniors converges on the library for thesis material. Also familiar in student life are assemblies, ranging from pep rallies to the Aegis assembly. Students in classrooms are intent on a teacher's words, or industriously studying. Student life, however, is not abrupt- ly halted with the close of day, there is home- work to do and sports events to attend. Friendship, sportsmanship, learning-each is an integral component of the rich student life at Beverly High School.

K? ff.ffV,,,,5U .1 gl' ly ,5, aff Q it l Pencils, textbo-oks, report cards, basketballs, footballs, track shoes, gavels, make-up, yearbooks . . . these tangible symbols of Beverly High School are familiar to every student. The pencils, text- books, and report cards represent the most im- portant phase of our three years, our academic strivings. As underclassmen and seniors we have been challenged by serious study. Basketballs, footballs, and track shoes symbolize the competi- tive spirit at B.H.S. The Student Council gavel, the yearbook, the dramatic club make-up-these, a part of the many activities, remind us of our extracurricular work. How many of the products of these symbols will remain with us? Pencils, textbooks, and report cards may change form, but life will always placeatools in our hands and iudgments on our effort. Perhaps, also, our athletic experiences will encourage us to play fair in a world which throws out penalties as heartlessly as any referee, yet which scores high for every goal achieved. Then, our constructive activities in school, con- cerning us with such as the gavel, the yearbook, and the make-up, will hopefully represent that which we shall contribute to the world we are about to enter. In this Beverlega we have recorded the tangible symbols of our years at Beverly High School. 't 5
