Footba Hazen Riverdale O Washburn 7 Hazen 19 Mohal -- Wilton 13 Garrison THEY 20 0 21 32 19 11+ 31 Ha ketball Under the able coaching of Al Tomayo and his assistant, Roger Lampa, the Miners started the football season with high hopes. During the season the boys gained much experience. Even though our team was not always victorious, they never gave the oppon- ent a clear path to victory. The Miners finished the season with a record of 2-6, a defeat in statistics but not in spirit. The Miners look forward to a better season in the com- ing year. The Beulah Miners won the Missouri WE THEY Basin Conference Championship for the Riverdale s Z2 second consecutive year with lk wins Turtle Lake 4 hO and 0 losses. Washburn s h? This year the Miners will lose Jerry Hettinger h6 Thompson, Jim Abbey, Bob Goodall, Clyde Mott 3h Fandrich, Ronald Leinius, and Teddy Wilton W 33 Davidson, the student manager, although Hettinger M7 we will have seven lettermen coming Hazen M Sl back next year. Riverdale s h8 At the District Tournament at Under- Underwood 4 59 wood, 5eulah defeated Wilton, Underwood, Garrison 4 37 and Washburn to go to the Regionals in Steele M3 Williston. In the first game the Miners Underwood s 53 defeated Grenora by 2h points but in Washburn w 65 the second game were defeated by Lans- Wilton s 29 ford by 1 point.
