BASKETBALL VARSITY TOP ROW: Coach Ridley, Michael Frankart, Clifford Lynch, Royce Overmyer, William Kittie, Harold Colgate, Manager. BOTTOM ROW: Robert Keim, Frank Hiestand, Jack DeRan, Eugene Gillmor, Eugene Stover. This year the Varsity closed out their season with a disappointing 14 win-7 loss record. Four starting lettermen from last year's squad which had a 19 win-6 loss record were the mainstays for this year's Varsity crew. The squad tied for second place with Attica in the county league race this year. They suffered league defeats at the hands of both Attica and Hopewell-Loudon to finish with a 6-2 record. After winning the first tournament game with Bettsville the Stockaders proceded to go out of the race by losing to Attica. They went on and lost the consolation game to Hope- well. Both games were lost by very narrow scores.
