To be in Honor Society a Junior or Senior student must have a B average or above in all his main subjects. There were fourteen members during the first semester and fifteen members during the second semester. All seniors, who have grades of B or above for the first semester of their senior year. All seniors, who have grades of B or above for the first semester of their senior year, are eligible to become members of the National Honor Society. Eleven seniors from Old Fort were initiated into the National Honor Society in May, at a banquet held at the Republic High School. SECOND ROW: Arthur Mehaffey, Janet Gabel, Roberta Chaney, Robert Keim, Rufus Chaney, Clifford Lynch, Gregory Hartenstein, Sandra Laird, Sharon Barto, Mr. Chaney. The annual Prince of Peace contest was held on November 4, 1956 at the Old Fort, Pleasant Ridge and Fort Seneca churches. There were fifteen who participated in the con- test. The winners were Ruth Ann Gillmor, Brenda Gillmor and Clifford Lynch. They then entered the county contest and Brenda and Clifford won.
