“SCHOOL PAPER . The third volume of the school paper, NThe Echon, was again out in front with news and worthwhile work. Seven- teen issues were published at two week intervals, ' Robert Andrews, Editor for the second consecutive year, displayed very fine in- terest and ability in filling his position, He was assisted bv Karl Turner and Ralph Lam- bright in the capacities of Assistant Editor and Business Manager respectively. Miss Lee served as faculty advisor. Throughout the year,splen- did cooperation was shown from members of the staff and facul- ty. This year the teachers were given a column in each is- sue in which they were permit- ted to express worthwhile ide- as pertaining to the school, This proved o be a successful experiment. ' All in all,HThe Echon may be said to have been a success- ful undertaking. Second row - Miss Lee, Betty Feasel, Wayne Naujoks, Jimmy Sullivan, Art Kin , Doris Swartz, Jeanne Hoffman, Rita Kuhn, Betty Myers, Jane Hartsel, Barbara Jesseman, Corrine Fravel, Jessie Boos First row - Alice Swartz, Bob Burd, Karl Turner, Bob Andrews, Ralph Lambright, Betty Craun, Peggy Hoffman HONOR SOCIETY The Honor Society, which is a county-wide society, was organized last year for the purpose of bringing together students from all the schools in the county. The membership for this society is based upon their participation in their respec- tive school activitiess As a county group, this society was not very active this year. However, all the schools organized their own groups. In our organization, we elected Karl Turner as our president, Jimmy Sullivan as our vice-president, Corrine Fravel, secretary-treasurer, and Mr. Morton, advisor, The members of this society from the different schools visited other schools of the county with the thought in mind of bringing back to their own school, new ideas and suggestions for its better- ment.
