FHESHMAN CLASS HISTORY The Freshmen were eager to start their high school ca- reer. They did so by electing their class officials: Paul Steffanni, President, Martha Roush, Vice-President, Maurice Flack, Treasurer, and Ethel Mae Lambright, Secretary. Mr, Ayers had the unfortunate luck to be elected their class sponf sor. The rest of the high school thought they would give them a nice treat, so they ire itiated them. The girls had to wear their dresses wrong side out while the boys wore their shirts the same way. They wore gloves and carried their books to classes in pails. To repay the high school for their kindness, the Freshmen gave' a Hallowe en Party for them. W Everything then wont smoothly until the Christmas' vacation when they Hraised the roofn at a New Year's Party held at Steffanni's, Members of this class have been active in school act tivities such as baseball, basketball, debate, and the one-act play. Pauline Steffan- ni was the only Freshman to participate in debate: Betty nSedaliaU Feasel and Claude UBobH King represented the class in the one-act play. Paul Steffanni, Maurice Flack, Jack Lynch, and Claude King played on the boys' basketball teams while Pauline Steffanni, Ethel Lambright, and Joyce Grimes were on the girls' basketball team. 'Paul Stef- fanni, Claude King, and Jack Lynch are members of the base- ball squad. Martha Roush, Paul Stef- fanni, and Betty Hartsel were elected as Freshmanl represen- tatives on the Student Council To end their year right, they sent five representatives of their class to Tiffin 'to participate in the annual scholarship tests: Betty Fea- sel and Pauline Steffanni, Engr lishg Betty Hartsel and Maxine Reeder, Algebra, and Paul Ste? fanni for Biology. Betty Fea- sel and Betty Hartsel placed third in their divisions. As this has been a happy but busy year for the Fresh- men, they look forward to their sophomore year,
