JUNIOR CLASS HISTORY The Junior Class of n4lH has had a very full and suc- cessful school year. Everyone has done his part in making it so. At the beginning of the year we chose our class lead- ers. They were- Betty Simp- son, president, Barbara Jesse- man, secretary-treasure, Mr. Morton, class advisor. Un- fortunately, Betty Simpson was unable to continue her school- ing. We then picked Ned Robin- ett for our president. These people have really put forth efforts to make our class a good one. On the whole, the class has been quite active. All of the girls were represented in the girls operetta last fall. Several of our class mem- bers were on both the paper and annual staffs. ln the County Honor Soci- ety our class was distinguish- ed by the membership of Peggy Hoffman, Jessie Alyce Boos, Helen Scherger, Ned Robinett, Barbara Jesseman, and Jimmy Sullivan. In boys' basketball we were represented by Charles Grimes, Ned Robinett, Jimmy Sullivan, and Lewis Stover. Glenn De Vanna and Blaine Smoot were managers. Next we have our baseball players. They are Tony Dantu- ano, Jhmny Sullivan, Charles Grimes, Ned Robinett, Lewis Stover, and Warren Carper. Jimmy Sullivan was our one representative in debate, In music, all of the girls belonged to the glee club, while in the Ensemble, we had the following: Lois Yocom, Olive Lucille Mauk, Peggy Hoffman and Jessie Alyce Boos. One of our other activi- ties was the Junior Class play entitled HThe Dutch Detective? Those of our class who took part, were Jimmy Sullivan Lewis Stover, Vernon Fritz, Blaine Smoot, Ned Robinett, Jessie Alyce Boos, Beatrice Henry, Lois Yocom, Frieda Iam- bright, and Barbara Jesseman. During the Pbaskebball season, we were active in the process of earning money for the Junior---Senior banquet. Many hot dogs, hamburgers, and cups of coffee were handed out by the members of our class. In the Orchestra and Band we were well represented. We also had one representative in boys' glee Club. Vernon Fritz was that one. Lois Yocom came home from the County 'Instrumental Con- test with second place. As a class the final ac- tivity of the year was the annual banquet for the Seniors. at the Shawhan Hotel in Tiffin All in all we feel that we have had a most successful year and are now ready to give up our place to the on-coming Juniors.
