Here it is 1960, time for an- other presidential! election and, incidentally, 'leap yearn, Some on, let's hop into my new super - colossal, stupendous, streamline airship manufactur- ed by Arthur King Corporation. Ever since Art graduated from good ole' Bettsville High School in 1940, he has been manufacturing the world's lat- est styles in aircrafts at Angus. His plant is so widely known that Angus now has six houses instead of two. And by the way, do you remember that cute little Freshman girl he was so fond of? Well, he's fender than ever of her now. The knot was tied only ten years ago. My but this plane handles easily. But look! What is that big city ahead? Why, that is only Bettsville. Did- n't you know that Norman Fry's mushroom business has increas- ed so much that all the Dolo- mite workers have been put to work at the mushroom plant! Norman and his wife, the form- er Sara Marshall, and the two little nFrysN are enjoying life on the old homestead, While we are here, let's circle the there is a I just knew Feterle uup sir, I did paper, but must have old town. Oh! cute little home, it. That Kathryn and donen it. Yes read that in the I forgot it. It been a very big affair. Oh, didn't you know she married that little nDutch Detectiven a couple of months ago? Kathryn must have leaped when she had the chance. Over yonder is good ole' Bettsville High still standing. I hear Junior Dicken is still sweeping out the study hall. Look, there is the busi- ness section. Why, there has been another store added, Looks like, yes sir, it is one of those new Andrews' Five and Ten's. There it is right out in front, uhobert Andrews Five and Ten Chain Stores.n Look ahead! What is that tall building? Why, that is Bettsville Grain and Supply. I understand Alice Swartz was unable to get a job when she graduated, so her father put her on the coal truck, and she has been shoveling coal ever since, There she is now! but she has aged. She has changed color. MY: Full speed ahead! We are heading toward Fremont. We are crossing Wolfe Creek, and who do you suppose is sitting on the bank fishing? None other than Ralph Lambright, I heard that he comes down every day but has not caught any- thing for ten years. Look at that herd of cows! Why, it is the Nighswander Dairy Farm. There is Stewie riding his two hundred horse power International tractor, He sees our plane and is wav- ing his big red handkerchief, Oh, my mistakeg he is only cleaning one of the spark plugs. What does that billboard say? Vote for Karl Turner, candidate for the Miracle par-' ty, for presidency. Nice work, If You Can Get It, Karl! We are flying over the big city of Fremont at present Stop! Red Light. You didn't know airplanes had to stop for red lights? They didn't in 1940 but they do in 1960, Look, we have stopped above the Paramount Theater. What is

on today? Corrine Fravel is starring in uFuzzy Goes To Townu and also NMicky Mousen comedy. Well, there is our pur- ple light. Green lights were taken away when Karl Turner be- came governor of Ohio. Purple is his favorite color and he insisted that Congress change the color to purple so it would not become tiresome wait- ing. We are crossing the San- dusky River bridge, and if Francis Miller isn't s tting on the rail! I heard that ever since he left Bettsville Hi, he has been spending five days out of every week down at the bridge studying to be an accountant by attending the School of Fish. Our motor is sputtering! We are our of gas, and it will be necessary to make a forced landing in the Sandusky River. Can you swim? You can't1 Neither can I, so I guess we are all goners.
