CLASS REPRESENTATIVES The Student Council, under the leadership of president Dennis Pirages and faculty advisor Mr. Dan Ryan, was very active during the year. The foreign student program, Homecoming festivities, and the Sweetheart Ball were the main projects of the council. A new program of selling bonds to raise money for the A. F. S. student was inaugurated. Student Council members were active in Quint-Cities Student Congress, and were affiliated with state and national associations. 8 TUDE T COUNCIL

Mary Schultz costs first ballot. Dave Cox,, past president of the council, looks on. The candidates for student body president and vice- president staged a vigorous campaign. On election day. each set of candidates gave a speech stating their platform. Dennis and Sue stressed a better student exchange program and music in the cafeteria at noon, as two main planks in their platform. President Dennis Pirages and Vice President Sue Werner display the platform that won them election to BHSs highest offices el?
