THE PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE Please permit me to take this opportunity to express our congratulations to the Editor-in-Chief, Staff and Advisors of the 1973 B-CEAN. 1972-73 has been another banner year for Bethune-Cookman College. Our enrollment has now in- creased to more than l,200, and our Faculty has been greatly up-graded. Our projected building program, when completed, will enable us to provide a well-rounded program for our students. Plans are now on the drawing board for our new Adams-Alumni Infirmary, which will be ready for occupancy in September 1973. The year 1973 cannot be evaluated in this short interval since its passing, and perhaps the true significance of its effects upon the world and this nation will not be understood fully in our generation. Only the historians of the future will achieve the perspective to render ajudgment upon the men and ac- tions of our day. Of one thing we can be certain, however, the year 1973 has reshaped the life of each of us. Out of time and circumstance we have been chosen as a favored generation. The accolade of history has touched us. Each must answer the call in his own time and with his own ability. The mantle of challenge, together with its responsibility, covers us. It will not be lifted. We must accept it and carry it not as a burden, but as our opportunity. May history record that we achieve this with truth and all honor. To our Seniors, who are departing this year, we wish for you every success in the years that lie ahead. Remember the words of our motto, ENTER TO LEARN - DEPART TO SERVE! Cordially yours, WM M Richard V. Moore President
