This is the end of an era that began in the warm and friendly shadows of a school on Powell Avenue and wound its way through the labyrinths of a modern structure that will speedily become a memory. It was a good way of life that an individual may ex- perience only once no one will pass this way again. 'Iihere seems to be some sadness as the scenes of life change, as change they must. and old school ties and associations come to the fzrzrting of the zt-aim But this is a time for rejoicing. for as one door closes. another door opens to the promise of the dawning atomic age. God gave man the key of learning, skillfully designed for access to the worlds greatest treasures. but this knowledge can be used either as a blessing or as the instrument whereby the human race could literally destroy itself f the choice is in the hands of Man. A generation is fortunate indeed, in that past generations have read, studied, explored, written and passed on their Endings for the good of the universe. It is a grave responsibility to keep the lamp of knowledge burning brightly and to add. in a humble way, some- thing worthwhile to the legacy that belongs to generations yet un- born.
