Our Town Many years ago it was said, ''Delmar is an easy place to come to and a hard place to leave.'' This is true because Our Town is a friendly town, reflecting a spirit of co-operation. Our school system is strengthened by the support it receives from the com- munity. Our Town in turn uses the school facilities. Thus to re- late the school with the community, we have chosen Our Town — The Town of Bethlehem — as the 1958 ORIOLE theme. We have pride in Our Town as does the Chamber of Com- merce. It is an enterprising organization which encourages the planting of dogwood trees to beautify Our Town, and the print- ing of the brochure Our Town of Bethlehem to publicize Our Town. We would like to thank the Chamber of Commerce for letting us reprint some of the pictures used in that booklet. Each of the section pages retlects some aspect of Our Town. The Town Hall pictures the administrative phase, corresponding to the faculty and school administration. The Seniors are the only ones privileged to use the Main Entrance, which has become a symbol of their leadership. The Library aptly represents the Underclassmen, as they are still preparing to assume the responsi- bility of leaders. The Tollgate — center of student social life — symbolizes the numerous activities of school. Sports are repre- sented by the Swimming Pool. The Four Corners typifies the Ad- vertisements, since it is the center of community shopping. Here is our book, presenting our administrators, our students, and our activities; yes, presenting Our Town!
