Patty Bush Charles Battaglini Mariaelena Radachy The first exhibit in which Bethle- hem-Center was entered this year was at the Washington High School during the annual Institute week. One can be sure that our art teacher, Miss Hughes, was very proud when we took eight of the eighteen prizes awarded to high school students, four of which were First prizes, and rightly so should she be proud because she has been teaching us for only two years. But our biggest surprise came at the California High School exhibit, which was sponsored by the Washington County Federation of Women's Clubs. Once again Beth-Center emerged on top, tak- ing honors in all but one of the cate- gories. Capturing sixteen of the twenty- seven prizes offered, our students once more brought honor to the school. For his outstanding work Charles Battaglini was chosen to display three of his paintings in an all-state exhibit at Pittsburgh. These paintings are pictured at the left. Our thanks to Miss Hughes and the students for their excellent work. We hope they will continue in their efforts with as much success,
