“L-+-t4-an..-p.s CLASS HISTNRY As we look over the past twelve years of school life at the things that have made up our joys and our sorrows, we can not help but feel a few pangs of regret that it will soon be all over Although each of us will begin a new life, we will never forget our happy school days and friends When we started out, there were 7 in our class Some of these have dropped out of school and are already working Some have married, and others have gone into service Today there are 214. in our class One of our earliest recollections is gnatcf an incident in the second grade Tne steam blew the radiator valve off and everyone began rushing Rr the door We were very releiv ed to find that the building was not on fire In the seventh grade six students from our class were given the privilege of going to the ninth grade Only two of them, K T Joyner and Mary Martin, took this opportunity and they graduated last year with honors One of them, Bettie Hodge, wuu:to another school and Judd Booth, Evelyn McKinney, and Billie Smith will graduate this year In the eighth grade, our regular teacher was sick mn we had eight substitute teachers. The feaehers were either very fickle or we were so mischievous they couldn't cope with us. KI wonder whichll Remember the day one of the girls wrote a note to her boyfriend and it was read to the class by the teacher? The teacher just said A1n't love grand? Our ninth grade will always be cherished, as one of the most memorable one because of our many escapades. We were very proud of our boys when they won the inter- class basketball championship in the tenth grade. Remember when we had Man-Hating Week in the tenth grade and a girl drew a fine every time she spoke to a boy? And Um big party on Saturday night when each girl invited a boy. The girls w1U.never forget dn day our tenth grade teach- er chased some of the girls with a baseball bat. , .e,. wr.-. ,.e,.e,v,.,,,.,,., K,1.c ,Ke 1 V, , ,e c ma ' A Mann.
