SMILE, RODNEY, SMILE was the name of the play, but the audience added much laughter to their smiles of enjoyment as the juniors capered their way through this production Never was there such difficulty in having a play First, misfor tune hit by way of the loss of a character After running here and asking there, the cast was again complete Then fate struck once more, or rather scarlet fever, which post poned the play a week At last the great night was at hand, what was th1s9 From the sky there fell an unceasing current of snow which not only cut the crowd to a fragment, but also gave us a week's vacation After the snow was over and school had reopened, the weary playcast again played to a medium sized crowd, due chiefly to lack of advertising the whole, though, it was very successful and another year is coming anyway Z3

ik- 'YR 54 4 'Q iff fx HRW This year's senior class play was YOU'LL DIE LAUGHING and die laughlng was what most of the audience did, or shn we just say died It is a question as to which produced the most chills, the action on the stage or the sound effects from behind the stage The success of the play was completely unforeseen. Practices didn't go too well We just cou1dn't resist stir ring up a little confusion when we were supposed to quietly concentrate on learning our speeches Cwhich we simply could not remember J Mrs Bolon's patience held up under the strain and on the big night, the characters all came through- with flying colors, or more appropriate, horrible screams After the last curtain was pulled and the moans and groans had ceased, the seniors had a handsome sum to add to their treasury ZZ
