Class History Early in September, 1938, we left home and parents to start on our journey in search of a golden knowledge, and expecting to make the best of our opportunities. Our capable ad- visor was Miss Elizabeth Thornberry. Here we heard and learned about fairyland and mysterious objects that were kept in the storehouse of knowledge After awhile we learned the useful information contained in books Sometimes our search for opportunities resulted in futile knowledge and hopeless attempts Much to our surprise in 1945, we became Freshmen having a class of twenty nine un usually intelligent students Mr Dyke was our class sponsor When our second year came to a close we were slowly learning the act of study and concentration For our Sophomore year, Mrs Finely was our sponsor In our third year, we began to undertand the tasks set before us learning Our class sponsor Mrs Bolon, helped us very much She began to direct a play Grandpa Goes to College but our class had such a small amount of talent and was so incapable that the play was cancelled Our .Tumor Senior Banquet was quite successful Then we arrived on September 6 1949 to the last step of our high school career We were Seniors at last and what that word meant We we re a class of twenty two under the careful guidance of Miss Burns Our school days Just slipped hurriedly along and at last graduation day was approchmg The big problem is Will we be ready to face life and to accomplish the tasks set before us when we the Semors of 1950 go out to make our own? We hope that when opportunity knocks we will be able to fulfill our positions to full capacity We wish to take this opportunity to thank our parents and to give credit to teachers and to all those who have so kindly helped and instructed us as we have attempted and completed this search for knowledge We thank Miss Burns and Mr Lynn for their wonderful help in the making of this annual and for all they have done for us We apprecxate the willing assistance Mrs Lemasters has given us in our efforts to type this book A President Bob Mueller 06 it Vice President Joan Mlller lllli ' p 'F 5 9. 5' E TP 5 Ch C O O 0 Vi 1 O a 'I 5 0 S' S S Secretary Martha McBurney Treasurer Beverly Loase 'il News Reporter Betty Lucas Flower Red Rose Colors Maroon and White 14 . . . . . . . l 1 ' ' . . 0 . . g . . 0 . ------- . - U n 0 e 1 ll ' 1 u ' 0 1 n . 0 i I I 1 I C I -v Q . 0 n 1 s ' . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 0 . . . . . . 1 . . . . . 1 ,. .,.,.,..... -W-.. .....
