The group dlsbanded at th1s po1nt and decxded to meet at the end of the summer to start on another tour The meet1ng place dec1ded upon was at Seventh Grade Inn You can know It was a happy bunch who met there the f1rst Monday ln September, a brxght sunny mornmg for a long, long Journey Twenty exght of us started out on the tr p Some dxdn t l1ke xt and left the group before the tr1p was over Well you may tlunk thxs a travelog xnstead of an autobxography but you see we all traveled so much that an account of the travels IS a story about our l1ves lf you thmk lt dxdn t take some travehng to get from grade one to and through grade elght, then you don t know anythmg about the hxghway patrol system of teachers they have who make headquarters at Bethesda School By the t1me we had arrxved at the age of fourteen or thereabouts we reahzed that we were grown up, so we decxded to stop runnxng around w1th grade school youngsters Therefore we took up resldence at Freshman Inn When we took the Sophomores throne there were thxrteen gxrls and s1xteen boys 1n our happy band What a record we made What grades we captured What trad1t1ons we upset It was here that we accornplxshed our f1rst brave deed upon wh1ch our last1ng fame may rest We d1scovered a method of bemg able to get through classes wxthout the use of textbooks We d1scovered how to bluff or at least we thought we were bluffxng untml the faculty dlshed out the grade cards After that we revxsed our plan and dec1ded perhaps a httle study would be benef1c1al to the future appearance of our grade cards Someone sa1d somethxng about nothmg bemg so rare as a day mn June But let us tell you that there s no grand and glonous feelxng hke the one we had the day we became .Tumors Of all the classes mn the school tlus 1S the favored class You see, the Semors are afrazd of them, because xf the Semors mxstreat the Jumors, they may not get any banquet The Sophomores are afra1d of the Junxors because they hve ID hopes that they may get a chance to eat the crumbs left from the banquet The Fresh.men just don t know any better than to hke the Junxors So the .Tumor Class IS the most popular class 1n hmgh school or, that ls, xt was wlule we were Jumors The records of h1story cannot produce a flner class than ours whxle we were .Tumors Never wzll the h1gh school get through talknng about these students durmg the1r Semor year The Semors have done themr best thxs year to make our school one of the best m every way The four years we have spent 1n Bethesda I-hgh School w1ll be remembered always, and w1ll form a treasured chapter m our Book of Memormes 17 o ll lv ' 1 1 .
