LEARNING Instruction Builds Skills Play rehearsals and school dances —these were among the many welcome diversions at B-CC; however, learn- ing was given top priority. Students learned new con- cepts in the classroom, library, and laboratory; they learned through class discussions, lectures, and inde- pendent research. In ihc printing press room. Since last year's traditional outdoor graduation was al- most rained out, Mr. Wil- liams discusses with the Senior Class Executive Committee the possibility of holding graduation in the stadium this year. As County Architect and Director of Buildings and Grounds, Wendy Cos- ter consults with her adviser during Student County Government Day. Mogenx Engsig-Karup speaks about his native Denmark as other AFS students wait to give their speeches at the annual assembly. Learning Requires Time For students at B-CC, knowledge seemed to create a thirst for more knowledge. As a result the curriculum is constantly expanding to include a wider variety of course offerings. New to the curriculum were French 5, Theater Arts, and Commercial Art. Pencils in hand, students work busily on art sketches. Class discussions in Spanish 4 help students acquire fluency in their use of languaKC.
