The year 1947 was an eventful one in the history of Bethel College, for it saw the crystallization of plans for expanding into a four-year school. The introduction of the third year of college studies marks the adoption of a new policy for developing the program of the school. Full academic accrediting was secured from the University of Minnesota for the new senior college curriculum, and plans are going forward to provide possibilities for majors in literature, sociology, history, philosophy, psychology and education, and religious education.
