Daley, D. Swartz, D. Jensen In spite of wartime conditions, this year's freshman class boasted of being the largest in the history of our school. Not only was the class large, but it v as also outstanding in many respects. Its members were engaged in all of the school activities. Although many of the class members were called into the armed forces throughout the course of the year, the ciass continued to carry on in an enthusiastic manner. Several successful parties and shuffleboard and ping-pong tournaments were held during the year. All in all, from freshman week to the last day of school, the freshman class helped make this year at Bethel another successful year. V Thirty

The highlights of the Sophomore Class activities lor the year '44-'45 included the all-school powwow in Como Park in the early fall and the spring concert given by the Bethel chorus groups. The officers for the las: semester were: sponsor. Professor C. E. Carlson; president, Earl Trude; vice president, Gloria Anderson; secretary, Lois Thomas; treasurer, Ray Ashmun. The first semester Kay Shimatsu served as president and Mabel Anderson as vice president. At the Junior-Senior Banquet the class presented their graduating gift to the school which was a donation toward the purchase of a movie projector. The graduating Sophomores were guests of the Bethel Alumni Association at the Alumni Banquet and of the Freshman class at the Junior-Senior Banquet. L r Twenty-nine
