Lizzie Wilborne has done an out- standing jobasthis year's school re- porter. She has diligently collected and organized the BHHS news for the Bethel Hill section of the COURIER TIMES. Our hats are off to Lizzie for the outstanding job she has been doing. The Halloween Carnival was a suc- cessagainthis year. Allen Long and Brenda Oakley were chosen king and queen of the Halloween Carnival. About 6,000 penny votes were cast for these two. The annual week of the F.H.A, in- itiation brought unusual looking girls roaming around the school. One day the candidates wore their skirts and blouses wrong-side-out, and another day only half of their face was made- up. Friday afternoon they donned boy's pants, pajama tops, a high heel and a bed room slipper, to push an oniondown the gym floor. The girls whole-heartedly agree it was worth it to become a F.H.A.'er.

Glimpses of the Past Year There was an added treat during the B.H.H.S. football season this year. On the Thursday before the Helena game the student body gathered to watch the ''Hornets ’ burn in effigy and to cheer the Hilltoppers on to victory. : S- pee ROSE pes: eaee Bees SRE wee ORS gone Pees aeen Bee m iseie wee igeie ieae The first day of a new school year had ended. It marked the beginning of four exciting years for many, and the last for some. Beverly Phillips and Chris Mooney, the senior class mascots, led the half time parade of the Homecoming Court. They were just as proud of their pony cart as the girls were of their convertibles. The pony, how- ever, was a little leary of the whole affair.

The feeling of peace on earth good will toward men ran high through- out the school as the rooms and bulletin boards took on the cheery appearance of Christmas. There were many tense moments as the students anxiously awaited the holi- days. BCE coronene DE: During December, the seniors stayed in the library every spare moment preparing research papers for Miss Chambers. Topics ranged from Im- pressionism to civil rights, to rac- coons. The probing revealed many things, such as our teacher's nick name, ''Punk'’, With apprehensive assurance, we presented our master- pieces, knowing all would receive A's. All good things must come to an end'', sobackto circles and squares.
