TEAM TAKES HONORS AT ODU At the Old Dominion University Model U.N. the Bethel delegation excelled and lived up to the praise that sponsor Mary Bicouvaris had given them. Head delegate, Chuck Wynder, received the best delegate award for his efforts on the Economical and So¬ cial committee. Harold Mack received an honorable mention for his efforts on the Special Political committee. Along with these two members, the Bethel delegation, re¬ presenting Israel, consisted of Charlene Turner, Maureen Gibson, Bob Wilks, Kendra Lindsey, and Reggie Full wood and was awarded the best overall delegation for the three day conference. Next on the agenda for the team is the National High School Model U.N. in New York at the U.N. building. Over 200 schools from the U.S. and abroad will participate. Mrs. Bicourvaris believes that it takes the “endurance of a football player, the skills of an orator, and the performance of an actor to participate will in Model U.N . Next year’s team is currently being recruited. Mrs. Bicouvaris is looking for people with these qualities who have a genuine interest in international affairs. Yearbook Staff PHOTOGRAPHERS: SUSAN KOGER DARRELL MOTTLEY YEARBOOK STAFF As editor of the yearbook, I have encountered many new experiences and tasks this year. It was a challenge with constant deadlines to meet and the forever present objective of aim¬ ing to please everyone. Most do not realize the hard work that goes into the production of a yearbook. The photography, caption, page lay¬ outs, typing, and creativity are just some of the many facets involved in yearbook production. With a yearbook staff of diligent workers, the job of putting the yearbook together was made much easier. Many thanks to all that contribut¬ ed and especially to Mr. Charles Sills, the yearbook advisor. Sincerely, CO-EDITOR: TRINA WASHINGTON EDITOR: WANDA ROYSTER Wanda D.
