The most exciting game of the season was with Highland Springs. The Bruins managed a come-from-behind touchdown to win the game. On a play action pass from Tyndall, John Sturdivant made a jumping catch to put the team ahead 18-14 with 52 seconds on the clock. The longest drive of the season came against a tough Hampton defense. The Bruins drove the ball 99 and 44 yds. to score in the second half. Bethel won 22-6 to enter the playoffs. Fourteen out of 17 senior players re- ceived scholarships totaling $340,000. varsity football 15
