completing a business course. Another classmate in the business field is Shirley Jean Whitehurst, who acts as secretary-receptionist for a resident physician in a big hospital. And, oh yes, Janice Hux and Mary Whitley are registered nurses in the same hospital. They have always had the desire to serve people through their nursing services. Then, of course, there are those who prefer a home and a family to a career. Ann Riddick and Shirley Wilson fall into this category. Wedding bells rang for them shortly after they received their diplomas. They are now very efficient housekeepers. A lot of new homes have been built in and around Bethel since 1955, and Marshall Tetterton has had a lot to do about that. He attended State College, but came back to Bethel to help his father in the carpentry business. He got a lot of experience in that kind of work before entering college. Carolyn Cooper, the cutest in our class and also a part time accompanist for the school glee club, can now be seen and heard weekly over many television stations as she exhibits her talents at the piano. Now my dream has exposed the whereabouts of the 28 seniors of 1955. Each one seems to be prospering in his chosen profession or occupation. I wonder if they ever think back to our Junior-Senior Banquet and the wonderful time we had amid the moonlight and roses. I would love to have a party and see them all together again. Maybe I will. Brr--rrr— There goes the alarm clock ending a beautiful dream. Now I must prepare breakfast for my family, but I wonder, could my dream be a reality? Prophetess: Patricia Whitehurst. Class Song (Adapted by Seniors) When I Grow Too Old To Dream When we grow too old to dream We ' ll have these years to remember. Within the walls of Bethel High Where joyous hours filled each day. We ' ll each go our way, and so let us part, For when we grow too old to dream Those days will live in our hearts. It ' s time to say goodbye to friends and teachers dear. With the dawn the years are gone But those memories still linger on. When we grow too old to dream Our youth we ' ll have to remember. And then we ' ll pause and count the joys we shared in dear Bethel High We ' ll have our share of joys and disappointments too. But when we grow too old to dream Those memories we shall renew. So hold high your head when we do depart. For when we grow too old to dream Those years will strengthen our hearts.
