They have travelled a sometimes weary, often bumpy, usually happy, but always steady road to the world of maturity. They are the citizens of a tomorrow that is not too for off. We believe that the lessons they have learned at Bethel will be put to good use as they help shape the world for others that follow. lt is to you, members of the class of I967 that we dedicate this Bethelonian with the fond hope that you will continue to meet the adversities of life with heads held high. After the first few weeks, the daze began to disappear and class organization began with the election of the following officers-president, Mike Rurup, vice-president, Randy Staab, secretary, Sandy Jurgens and treasurer, Sue Critchley. Money-making projects, such as selling Bethel insignia key chains, bracelets and pins, sponsoring a swimming party, and having bake sales, helped promote the successful Sophomore Tolo, Dreamer's Paradise, at which liagncly Staab and Sandy Jurgens reigned as Tolo royalty. - September, 1965 found us upperclassmen with newly-elected officers-Randy Staab, presi- dent, Gary Smith, vice-president, Cha'-fhy Rampp, secretary, Peggy Milroy, treasurer. After having won first place for our entry in the Pigskin Pow-Wow during Homecoming, we enthusiastically undertook more money-mak- ing proiects and initial plans for Paris By Night, our Junior Prom theme. On April 29 Tom Benston and Linda Johnson were crowned king and queen of the prom. In May, as tradition would have it, our offi- cers served as honor guards for commencement exercises. In the late spring of 1966, Tom Benston, president, Drew Hicks, vice-president, Sue Ash, secretary, and Sue Schenck, treasurer were elected to their new positions. As soon as the new year approached, these new officers began leading our class through its lost memorable year at Bethel High School. Homecoming activities this year included our third consecutive victory in the Pow-Wow and our first victory in the Box Drive. Moments to Remember, the Senior Ball, held at the New Yorker restaurant on November 23 was the highlight of our last year at Bethel High School. Reigning as royalty for the dance were Dan Dolfin and Sue Critchley. As our school years close with commence- ment June 6, we graduates of the Class of 1967 will walk our separate paths, some of which will never cross again, but we will have our moments to remember. FRO H ADD EW LOGK TO SCHGOL Class advisers were Mr, Pierson and Mr. Childers. A hard working group of students entered their first year at the four year high school last September. The freshmen's first major activity was the electing of class officers. Chosen were Jody Miller, president, Ken Krumpos, vice-president, Karen O'Neill, secretary, and Susan Breihl, treasurer. The freshman class advisers were Mr. Pierson and Mr. Childers. The class of 1970 did surprisingly well in all of the Homecoming activities. They placed first in earning money for the school blazers by selling the most baked goods. In sports the freshmen cheerleaders led their teams to undefeated seasons. The freshmen's ways and means committee planned many money making proiects that were carriecl out successfully during the year. Some of these were selling class cards, a bottle drive, selling Booster Club member- ships, and two car washes. Their biggest proiect was the Freshman Dance, Here Comes the Night, which was held in the colorfully decorated multi-purpose room. 'X xi 'ual This past year has been one of change at Bethel High-the addition-of The ninth grade to our student body, the enlargement of school facilities, and The chang- ing of superintendents in mid-year. Through The cooperation of students and teachers, The new wing was put in service in spite of many problems. The Freshman Class has adjusted well to their new environment, doing well in academics and activities. They can be credited for bringing fresh spirit and vitality to our student body. ln spite of the handicap of Transferring to a new position in mid-year, Mr. Gramman has quickly adiusted. He has been a real help in suggesting changes and improvements in The policies and the curriculum of the school. The Seniors might look upon This climate of change quite optimistically. Instead of a detrimental experience it must have been an opportunity for you to experience the pattern of life in the future and may you learn To live with and adiust to changes and still hold To The values you know to be true.
