5- emor 641,55 Ahlfory As a community grows, a cultural program will event- ually develop to meet the demand. A great symphony orchestra of world-wide fame may result from simple beginnings. Our orchestra became organized in our Sophomore year',N with our first number,,' the election of conduc- tors', 3Ted Perzak, Larry McConnell, Janice Dubbs, and Dorothy Tatomir. Perzak. d,y5 .IJVLJ 6006 Cel'J PRESIDENT Dexter Hutchins VICE-PRESIDENT Bob Stovash SECRETARY Sue-Ann Powell TREASURER Tom Hodgeson With a year of experience behind us, we stepped into the junior chairs with President Larry McConnell, Vice-President Dot Tatomir, Secretary Sue-Ann Pow- ell and Treasurer Maxine Bozovicher to conduct this concertf, As the soloists', before us went on to fame, we reviewedv the qualifications gained as Juniors: two dances, the Cafe de Paris and the Sock Hop, class rings, our prom, The Cinderella Ballg and a play, It's A Great Lifef, We were now ready to step into the soloists' spotlight Having gained recognition as an outstanding orches- tra, our performances now were sellouts. Under con- ductors Dexter Hutchins, Bob Stovash, Sue-Ann Pow- ell, and Tom Hodgeson, we completed our repertoire with pictures, name cards, graduation announcements.. . We presented two dances, Crystal Capers,', and Bas- ket Ball Q' and our Senior Class Play, Four Flights Up.' We are now prepared for the grand finale. The lights dim and we pass before the eyes of our critics,' and understudies to step into competition with Mas- 9 14 ter Musicians.
