nity. Nevertheless, their hearts were heavy as they started their senior year, for they knew it would be their last in old B.H.S. They would now have to assume greater responsibilities and make many im- portant decisions during this year. They regretted having lost Mr. Swisher but welcomed Mr. Frost as a faculty member. After choosing Mr. Bauerrichter as their sponsor, the class of eight elected Mary Lear, president, Richard Harvey, vice-president, Donna Allen, secretary and Patricia Morrison, treasurer. They published the Bethel Beacon monthly, and learned to shoulder many of the responsibilities of the school. They were still active in athletics, six of the eight were on the basketball and softball teams. They produced their senior play, enjoyed educational trips, and senior day at Kirksville. They had a photograph taken of their group. Finally Commencement time arrived. You now see them here before you, ready to take advantage of that big chance out there in the future. They wish to thank their kind parents, patient teachers, and everyone who showed them so much understanding on this very im- portant four year excursion which has given them a firm foundation for the most important thing in life, happiness.
