Everyone has been so cooperative and willing to do his part when called upon. .lattice could not have gotten along without Patsy and Lee who were such competent associate editors. We have worked long, hard hours, and burned much mid- night-oil to give to you this '59 SCROLL. We hope that you will treasure it and use it through the years to gaze in retro- spect upon this part of your life at Bethel. 92 a DORIS NILSICK l'l1oI0grupl1ir Ealimr Fmsr Row: Faye Mile, Mary Lou Mclieynolds. ,lean Davis, Martha Joyce Cannon, SI-120511 Row: June Kennedy, Eva Smith, Nam-y Williams, Dale Crider. BAPTIST STUDE T U I0 Une of the most important organizations on the campus is the B.S.U. The Executive Coun- cil and the Greater Council, led hy President Tom Yates work directly with the Southern Baptist Convention to aid the spiritual develop- ment of our students lay giving them opportu- nity to participate in Christian activities and eomradeship. This year the B.S.U. sponsored Religious Emphasis Week, and had as their guest speaker Hev. Fred W. Love, Lewishurg, Kentucky. The entire student liody benefited from this program. Tom Yates has certainly proven himself an excellent president of the B.S.U. Under his leadership the B.S.U. continues to grow and progress. These students are members ol the various committees of the Executive Council. They make up the Greater Council of the B.5.U. and are responsible for promoting the B.S.U. on the campus.
