He received his B.S. Ed. fron john Brown University in Arkansas and expects to complete his Ph.D. from Florida State University this year. Mr. Flowers said that he likes Bethel and enjoys being able to work closely with hi: students. His objectives are to give students an understanding of the fundamenta concepts of chemistry and to develop an appreciation for the science of chemistry. He also hopes to devise a curriculum which will be suitable for a chemistry major in the future. In his free time, Mr. Flowers enjoys photography, oil painting, and fishing. Mu. Dr. jerry Wilcoxson Dr. jerry Wilcoxson has been teaching at Bethel since 1967. His degrees include a M.Ed. and a B.S. from North Texas University. He has just finished his doctorate at Middle Tennessee State University. As the Athletic Director, Mr. Wilcoxson is responsible for planning and scheduling all major athletic events and intramurals. As a teacher, he is totally dedicated to getting students involved. Dr. Wilcoxson is also the Bethel College Golf Coach. 1 Dr. Deborah Thompson Dr. Deborah Thompson came to Bethel in 1982 as the Assistant Professor of Health, Physical Education and Recreation. Dr. Thompson received her Ph.D. from the University of Arkansas, her M.S. from Ohio State University, and her B.S. from Kent State University. Dr. Thompson believes that it is important for colleges to change with the times as Bethel has done, so that the students will be better prepared for the world. To many of her students, Dr. Thompson is known as Dr, T, but she is one professor for whom the students must genuinely apply themselves. Mr. Mike N ienaber Mr. Mike Nienaber is the coach of the men's basketball and baseball teams. His degrees include an M.A. in Education and HPER from Murray State, and an M.A. of Education in History from Mississippi College, and a B.S. in History from Mississippi College. Mr. Nienaber is the director of intramurals, a member of the Athletic Committee, and a member of the National Association of Basketball Coaches. He enjoys baseball, watching sports on television, and kidding around with the athletes.

Mr. Robert Putman Mr. Robert Putman is the Associate Professor of Business Administration at Bethel. He holds a M.B.A. from Memphis State University and a B.S. from Mississippi State. He is currently studying for his doctorate at Memphis State University. Mr. Putman is a Certified Public Accountant for Tennessee. He is also the new Mayor of McKenzie. His other activities include chairman of the Intergent Care Fund for the Methodist Hospital, treasurer for the First Methodist Church, and a director of the McKenzie Rotary Club. ., .. .... - M... .,,..,. - . f:f-gg 5 rz. i Sri .:sf Sri -ri1:':::f-.t- r--fQ- - Mrs. Cindy Arnold Mrs. Cindy Arnold has been a part of Bethel since 1979. Her degrees include a M.S. Ed. from the University of Tennessee and a B.A. from Bethel. Mrs. Arnold is a member of Delta Kappa Gamma, Phi Delta Kappa, and The American Association of University Professors. She works with teacher evalua- tion teams for the state and is involved in the development of the Tennessee instruction model. Mrs. Arnold is also very involved with the Special Olympics at UTM every year. This year, Bethel earned special recognition for her efforts and all of the student participants at Mrs. Arnold's urging. Thanks to Mrs. Arnold, Bethel was well represented in the volunteer ranks at the Special Olympics. -rrrre Dr. Laddie Lollar Dr. Laddie Lollar has been at Bethel for 26 years. His degrees are a Ph.D, and an M.Ed. from the University of Missouri and a B.S. in Education from Southwest Missouri State University. Dr. Lollar is a member of such organizations as Southeastern Psychological Associationg Phi Delta Kappa, Kappa Mu Epsilon, and the Society for Colle- giate journalists. He sponsors the Phi Delta Sigma fraternity, the Psychology Club, and co-sponsors the Society for Collegiate Journalists. When he is not teaching, Dr. Lollar enjoys gardening, photography, and reading.
