Larry Harper—Paducah, Kentucky Guard 5’8”—155—Junior The smallest man on the team pulled the cats out of many spots with his deadly accuracy. He was second high in scoring. Joel Collins—Rutherford, Tenn. Guard 5'10’—155—Sophomore Joel did not see much action after being injured in the Austin Peay game. Joel is a dead shot at the foul line. Clennon Dailey—Emerson, Arkansas Guard 5'10’—170—Sophomore Clennon’s second year with the cats. He has a sensational jump shot and is one of our better ball hand- lers. Dan Henry—Rutherford, Tennessee Center 6’4”—200—Junior A transfer from Freed-Hardman, Dan gave the Cats fine rebounding strength. Dickie Denton—Paducah, Kentucky Center 6’6”—230—Sophomore Dickie, the biggest man on the team, held his own in rebounding and scoring for the Cats. He will be counted on for a good performance next year.

Jesse Blackshire—Medina Tenn. Forward 6'3’—180—Senior Jesse enjoyed his best season. His fine rebounding and jump shot proved valuable to the cats. Bill Carey—Rutherford, Tenn. Guard 6’—165—Junior Bill returning for his third year took top honors in scoring. His de- pendable foul shooting pulled the Wildcats through many tight spots. Leslie Bone—Lowes, Kentucky Forward 6’3”—160—Junior Leslie’s third season with the cats. Les is a good defensive player and has held his own in rebounding with the bigger men. Jim Chance—Loretto, Tenn. Forward 6’3”—175—Senior A veteran of four years, Jim lived up to his record as a fine consistent athlete. 103

Jesse Powers—Atwood, Tenn. Center 6’7”—190—Freshman Jess will be counted on more in years to follow since he is a Fresh- man. He was a brilliant Freshman player. Lyndle McCurley—Calico Rock, Ark. Guard 5'9”—155—Junior Lyndle, a transfer from Beebe, was also a consistent player with his deadly jump shot. He will be count- ed on for more fine play next year. Paul Newmon—Mason Hall, Tenn. Forward 6’3 —180—Senior Paul, a Senior, was injured at mid-season. He was the team’s lead- ing rebounden and one of the high- est scorers when his broken hand stopped his career. Jim Webb—Viola, Arkansas Forward 6'4”—210—Junior Also a transfer from Beebe Jr. College, Jim was counted on for his timely tip-ins. He will be counted on again next year. Bud Newmon—Mason-Hall, Tenn. Manager This was Bud’s second season with the Cats. His steady and de- pendable work help make the sea- son possible.
