Fore word The 1960 HELM has captured within the covers of this book the scenes, events and activities that have brightened our days, and enlarged our experiences while we studied at Bethel. Of course, all of your little day by day occurrences couldn't be enshrined here--the successes and fail- ures, the ups and downs, the sunny days and the gloomy days--these have all become a part of you. Now, as you proceed to look through the pages of our annual we hope that those cherished and beloved memories of your school days wi II be renewed. We, the Staff, want to thank the students, the faculty, and all those who participated in the compiling of our annual. And we especially want to thank Mr. Jay Smith for the time spent and guidance given to make our iob easier and our staff more efficient.
