With 1979-80 picked as the International Year of the Child, it was only fitting that the theme for Fall Festival be 1t ' s a Small World , centering around the child and the family. It takes all kinds to make a world. And here at Bethel we ' re just a very small port of that world. But even though we ' re only a small port. Bethel reaches out to many states and foreign countries to gather students of all kinds to make a world of study and learning experiences. Today ' s society is so caught up in getting ahead or being number one that many times we forget just who we really are and where we are in relation to everyone else in the world. As the Song It ' s A Small World After All says; It ' s a world of laughter, a world of tears; it ' s a world of hopes and a world of fears. There ' s so much that we shore, that it ' s time we ' re aware, It ' s a small world after all. Let these words be an inspiration to you as you go through the rest of 1980 and don ' t forget why we ' re here and who we really are. Remember that a smile means friendship to everyone and happiness spreads to love everywhere.
