NVe realize its value as perhaps never hefore. We are 'facing frankly the fact that God expects us to work with llim and to work with other people in the same spirit. XVe likewise are learning anew that the great things and good are the result of people working together with God and with eaeh other. A generation ago three men, horn in different parts of the world and en- gaged in different occupations were hound together by a great interest and each yielded himself with the spirit of true cooperation. Their interest was Bethel Uollege, which was then only a projeet. They were not the only men interested in education, hut they cooperated in an unusual degree. Their ways were heset with difficulties and if eaeh had stood alone Bethel College might never have gone heyond the stage of heing a mere project. These men had help-meets who were worthy of their ealling and who did more to keep the fires of enthusiasm hurning than they would tell or than any one else knows. The fact that a few people loyally stood together for a good cause has hrought blessings to more than two thousand young people and to many more who have been indireetly henefitted. Two of these men, Rev. Goerz and Mr Warkentin, have gone to their re- ward, The other, Mr. J. J. Krehhiel, is still with us, a patriarch of eighty-two years on May 3, 1920. The three good wives all survive.
