What I mean is that P.E., Driver's Education, and Health develop many skills which are needed throughout life. Driver's Ed. is important because without it we would have to wait until we were eighteen to cruise. Health is important to learn about the body and its func- tions. P.E. is important to learn about sports and sportsmanship. So, don't pass up this page without looking at it thoroughly! Connie, Emma Lou, Terri, Jason, Chad and Tony all do their part to keep things up and running. Although they are frequently experiencing cutbacks, they still continue to serve us with pride. We have a speical tribute for these people. The lunch bell rings. The hallways sing. The kids are hungry things. So don't be late, or your plate Of food will soon be cold. But if you ask. I'm sure the cooks Will put your food on hold. So the next time you see a cook having a bad day, try to cheer her up. Otherwise you will be failing to accomplish your duty as a hu- man being. (Okay, so I Exaggerated!) Keep up the good work cleaners, washers, cooks and sloshers! 108 COOKS Those Who Keep Our PRIDE In Repair The drivers and custodians at Bethany High School are truly the most prepared for any unexpected circumstances which pop up. Tools break, buses break, and new messes are created daily. Through thick and thin, they're always in, they take us to and from. If halls were left uncleaned at night, our school would smell like scum. They fix doors and wax the floors, they pick us up at home. We get to school with lots of time to use our black Ace combs. Please respect our drivers and custodians. They're our friends. Drivers not pictured: Connie Snoke, Loretta McCain, Shirley Ford, and Shirley Osbourne. Let: Head of Maintenance, Hans Fox. These changes are to improve our yearbook. I'll explain a little bit about a yearbook so you'll understand some of the changes we've made. First a yearbook begins with a theme to put everything together with one central idea. This year's theme is Our Pride Is Showing. The theme, as it turns out, fit the year well with a winning football team, a successful show choir, a new junior high National Honor Society, and many other exciting events we've captured in these pages of the book. Next, we take pictures, pictures, and more pictures, trying to include everyone possible. Then, in an organized manner, we arrange these pictures and their captions throughout the book. It takes creativity, skill, and a lot of hard work to complete the book. The authors of this book, the Yearbook Staff, are the people who went through all of the hard work to put together this yearbook for you. I'd like to thank those hard workers and wish them luck next year. I'd also like to thank the adviser. Miss Ryan, who does most of the hard work herself, because without a hard-working adviser, there would be no yearbook. And I'd like to thank YOU for giving us a reason to have a yearbook. I hope you enjoy the 1986 Reverie. Your Editor, Stacy Harmon Class of '86 124 EDITOR'S NOTE JOSTENS J •'
