To everybody; How the hell are 'ya? Me, I’m fine. Certain people have worked all year to compress countless memories into a one-hundred-and-twenty-four page book which you are reading at this very moment. Many people know I like to talk and write and it bugs me in a way that there isn’t enough room to record all the fun or weird moments that happened this year. Who can forget things like Jack Bolsen’s comedy routine at the Talent Show, or the Black guys who broke into the girls’ room in Florida? Or Connie and Emma Lou’s jokes in the lunch line? In 20 years when you’re reading this, u will be surprised that you had forgotten these things. I will miss announcing the basketball games . along-side Greg, fend the daily Greg and Daren Show” every morning. It will be weird to watch homecoming floats go by in the parade and know that I didn’t participate in making one. But, oh well. Whether you are reading this as a graduate, or as a freshman, or as a seventh grader, there is one thing I’d like to tell you to remember, and that is yotl an do anything you want to do in life if you want to do it bad enough. Robert Low said at our NHS induction ceremony this year, “One can count how many seeds are in an apple, but only God can count how many apples are in a seed.’’- Now I know it sounds stupidly philosophical, but just think how many apples you could get if you dared to plant a seed. ell, I had better be going It's time to throw up nd go home Oh, and by the way, ‘7 am free to think my own thoughts, to choose my own way, and to be my own person. That applies to every- one, right angel? Au revoir et a bientot, £ j Todd At the beginning of this year, after the Class of '84 had graduated, for the first few weeks I noticed the spaces they left in the school. However, by the end of the 1st quarter, the spaces had been filled up by someone else, and I found myself forgetting that they had even gone to school here. At the same time I wondered if it would besthe same with me and my friends when we graduated. At football games when I was drum major, old friends would come up to me and say, Hi, Todd, and start talking, and I would have to interrupt them and say, Well, sorry, but I have to go get the band ready.” I sort of pushed them aside and I felt guilty because I didn’t have time to talk with them. Then I wondered if anyone would have time to talk with me after I graduated. It’s a little sad to realize that after spending your life at school, there comes a time to grow older and leave it behind. 4 Editor's Note
