Prophecy A familiar face came into view. We saw that heavyweight boxing champion, Dan Flan- nell was asked to retire, after his recent haircut made him too light to qualify. Jim Flesh- lier finally made his big move in life and traded in his bicycle for a car. A teardrop entered our eyes as we saw that poor Rod Florey killed himself, because he couldn’t find any- thing else new to do. It also saddened us to hear that John Moon met with a terrible fate. He tried to spit out of his car window, and his lips beat him to death. But, we were happy to see that Sharon Florey now gets her hair cuts free, since she married Jerry McDanile. Bill concentrated as hard as he could and who should pop into view but Eloise Doyle. She has set up her own plant and production is coming along fine. Renee Freeland be- came a grapefruit picker and picks them with her mouth. She seems to be attracted toward the “Greene ones”. Jane Funk got married, but unfortunately the minister stepped on her “Vail” and made her a widow. Kay Sanner now runs a school of etiquette. Its specialty is walking, taught by Kay herself. We were glad to see that Teresa Smith and Anne Russell were doing well in their new careers in stardom. Lois Seelow has also found fame as a head bass player. Of course we couldn’t forget Peggy Schwartz. She is now a professional chorus girl. Credit goes to the good practice she gained at GHS, because she could crack a smile without bending over. Many of the class went into the professional field. Jerry Wicker is now a lawyer. Jerry Utsler is a professional race car driver, but he has trouble winning because he keeps trading cars. John Weakly is now working for NASA. They finally discovered that their biggest space problem is between his ears. Taking a final gaze we saw that Marie Hoskins married the Frito Bandito. Alton Kelly picks walnuts for the Kelly Kookie Kompany. We hardly recognized Dorothy Kirkwood. Her ring made such a blister on her finger that she began to wear it around her neck. Punch Martin now deals in selling roller skates. It is suspected that this is so Cheryl can push him around easier. Bill pointed out the fact that Sue Noblitt was now manufacturing her own private brand of track shoes. She always gains a running start on all the guys in town. Her friend. Barb Stickles, is now a booming success with “Barb’s Boating House”. I could remember the good ole school days when she got her start. Suddenly, there was a loud commotion outside. I asked Bill what was going on. He as- sured me not to worry. It was noly Pat Ray. It seems that she is the head construction worker next door. Rumor had it that she was the only person that could be heard above all the noise. As the crystal began to fade we saw that Peggy Bland Snyder had finally be- come a music teacher at ole BHS. She always did do a pretty good job at blowing her own horn. At last, but not least, was Sandy LaCost. Of ocurse, we already knew that Sandy had gone on to become the first woman president. She bases her policies on her out- spoken ways and ideas of her high school days. The crystal ball buzzed and grew dark. I was glad to see Bill again and get a peek at what my fellow classmates had accomplished. I hated to rush off, but I had an executive board meeting for “Lenrod, Inc.” at three and needed to shave and clean up. Bill and I both agreed that my great success lay in my habits of neatness carried over from my BHS days. I thanked Bill and set off, but I left assured that the class of 70 had certainly got what it deserved!

CLASS PROPHECY-SENIOR CLASS OF 1970 As I was “tooling through the Carny” the other day, I happen chance stumbled upon “Billy Ashley’s Sooth-Sayer Booth. Recognizing his whiskered old face as one of my high school cohorts, I immediately slapped down my coinage and entered. He looked into his crystal ball and proceeded to tell me the fate of the class of 1970. As the crystal cleared we saw Sam Brewer. He just got fired from his job as an elevator operator, because he couldn’t control his tongue. As usual, he throught he got the shaft. Corrine Clark has gained total recognition for being herself. She finally won the “Patsy of the Year” award. Brad Cribbet’s childhood dream has come true. Due to vast experience in high school days, he now runs the playboy club. Tuning into a different trequency we saw Steve Dukeman now working as a model for Mabelline. Vickie Davis is also in the advertising business. She’s now modelling the new look for underdeveloped people. Cindy Brown and Joann Osman are still together in a joint business.
