Back to “Dear Ole Beth” we're flying, but we don’t know many people there now. Oh say, isn’t that Jim Bartimus down there working in the cemetery? I guess Jim never did get “care- taker” and “character straightened out. What is that large house there? Well, of course, that’s Nancy Pettypool’s nursing home. Seems like Jim and Nancy have quite a business--Nancy keeps them 'til they die; then Jim takes them from there I As we look to the southwest of Bethany, we see a large farm with cows, kids, and John Deeres. Yes, the farm belongs to Dean and Irma Puyear. Dean never did like Farmalls. We are gaining altitude to head back to Chicago to see if we can find another old friend Nancy Thomas. Finally we did find her, and she is secretary for the president of G. M. C. Guess those commercial courses paid off for Nancy. Doesn’t that person in the stockyards look familiar? Why sure, that’s Doc Gaither; Jim always did want to be an important vet. Also in Chicago is Kay Stocks who is now the Republican candidate for Mayor of the “windy city. As we remember, even our high-school days, Kay always did favor the elephants I Westward now and what do we have here? Why this is Las Vegas, and guess who we find here. Dave Jackson, of course I Dave now owns ten gambling casinos but by profession is “The Million-Dollar Playboy. (With ALL the accessories, as usual.) From Nevada we sweep over to Denver where we find a secretary and teacher - secretary to her husband who is a general in the Air Force and teacher to her own little Air Force squadron. Ann always liked the men in uniform. We now enter the REALLY, BIG state of Texas and find the celebrity of our class Harold Porkie Hampton. Guess what he is? The State Senator, and by the way, Porkie is also a preacher. Into Mexico now and we see Janet Barnes as a receptionist for the SNOW SHOVEL COM- PANY. Janet doesn’t sell many shovels, but she is kept quite busy answering telephone calls, mainly those from her good-looking boss. Just for old time’s sake, let’s fly over Bethany again. Oh goodness, how did we ever over- look the Mad Chemist and Magician of our class, “Tweety” Gray? He is known professionally as a very popular magician--Burl always could make girls appear from nowhere! Oh, Good Heavens, time does fly. I must get back to one of my many hospitals. Y ou know I always was real strong about being a nurse, but at that time I didn’t know I would own seven of my own hospitals. If you feel ill after reading this, just come see me--Sandy McKinney. 19
